Mercer's Campus Health will host a walk-in flu vaccine clinic for Mercer students, faculty and staff beginning Tuesday, Oct. 28 from 9-11 a.m. in Penfield Hall. A second session will be held on Thursday, Oct. 30 from 9-10:30 a.m. in the Law School’s Webb Room.
Campus Health staff emphasized the importance of vaccination, especially during the busy fall semester.
“Getting your flu shot each year is one of the simplest ways to protect yourself and others,” Campus Health Manager Kaye Miller said. “With so many students sharing classrooms, housing and dining spaces, vaccination helps reduce illness, absences and the spread of flu on campus.”
Campus Health is streamlining the process, encouraging students and staff to email their completed vaccine form and a copy of the front and back of their insurance card to chforms@mercer.edu 24 hours before arriving. Insurance will cover the cost of the vaccine.
“It’s quick, it’s safe and it helps keep our Mercer community healthy throughout the season,” Campus Health Manager Kaye Miller said.
They will provide the vaccine on-site to those who bring their Bear Cards and insurance information. For further questions, contact Campus Health at (478) 301-2696.
