MU Runway executives Jassmyn Nesmith '26 and Taylor Goodly ‘26 took out their cameras and roamed campus to begin their weekly tradition of capturing Mercer’s best dressed for “What You Wearing Wednesday” on Sept. 17. WYWW has been “capturing the creativity and highlighting the individuality of Mercer students on a day-to-day basis,” for the past three years, Goodly said, posting their favorite candid outfit photos on MU Runway's social media accounts.
“'What You Wearing Wednesday' is something I love to do because it’s so subjective… everyone’s fashion sense is different, and we get to see all kinds of aesthetics and styles,” Nesmith said. Nesmith primarily photographs athletes during Mercer University sporting events. However, in conjunction with her love for fashion, she utilizes her photography to showcase Mercer’s diverse fashion landscape.
Goodly is a photographer around Mercer’s campus, capturing photos at sporting and social events alike.

“As someone who loves fashion myself, I genuinely enjoy taking this time every week to see others’ outfits and see the creativity people have,” Goodly said. “You have to think, everyone puts thought into what they put on in the morning and how they wear it throughout the day. I think that’s really cool to capture.”
WYWW is not just a weekly digital spotlight– it’s a way of building the MU Runway community. “People have caught wind of us and are starting to come find us every Wednesday when we have our cameras out, fits assembled and confidence ready,” Nesmith said. As a relatively new student organization, MU Runway has been gaining attention through WYWW and other social events that engage fashion-forward students.
“Some 'What You Wearing Wednesdays' are themed around events happening on campus,” Nesmith said. Themes will be posted on MU Runway's Instagram and range from spirit wear on homecoming week to business-professional on career fair days. For a chance to be featured in a future WYWW post, pass through Cruz Plaza or the Connell Student Center any Wednesday and visit MU Runway’s Instagram.
