Business Spotlight: Learning Solutions of Middle Georgia

Learning and skill building can often be a difficult process for many people, both adults and children.
A new business in Macon, Learning Solutions of Middle Georgia LLC, is catering to the educational, learning, and skill building needs of the people.
The goal of Learning Solutions is “Turning stumbling blocks into stepping stones [through] Support….Coaching….Tutoring.”
The business is all about learning and helping people with their learning difficulties.
Learning Solutions is located in downtown Macon at 1044 Washington Ave. Suite 102.
Tracey R. Garner is the Executive Director of Learning Solutions of Middle Georgia LLC, and her business is becoming a hit with the locals.
She is not only a wife, mother, and friend, but now a successful business owner, who is dedicated to building the “stepping stones.”
Her learning center utilizes therapy and other approaches to create an integrated solution for people with learning difficulties.
The center offers two different services: Education Support Services and Drop-In Services.
Education Support Services focuses mainly on a therapeutic solution. Drop-In Services emphasizes developing “Executive Functions” which are applied in all academic areas.
The executive functions include and are not limited to the ability to “plan, prioritize, set goals, organize, shift flexibly between tasks, self-monitor, and hold/manipulate information in working memory.”
Learning Solutions effectively works to accomplish these goals and provides services to help people with their work and homework.
Classes are now being offered, and anyone can register for classes.
In January, Learning Solutions of Middle Georgia LLC began offering a number of classes, ranging from improving certain learning skills in students to training sessions for parents about challenges with learning.
Some other sessions provided by Education Support Services are “academic support, interventions and strategies for all academic areas and levels; individual assessment for educational impacts of processing concerns and impacts on learning (dysgraphia, dyscalculia, dyslexia and others), parent education/training for challenges with learning and/or behavior, homework plans, private school placements, home school support, parent support for RTI process, IEP support/development and private school support services.”
The center also offers programs for team and group skill building. These sessions focus on developing unity within businesses, changing dynamics in the workplace and improving public speaking skills.
Some specific classes being offered now are “Games People Play” (improv activity for 3rd to 5th graders), “Mommy and Me Language Lessons” (for ages 15 to 28 months), “Social Skills Improv,” “Express Yourself With Video!,” and “Home School Study Skills.”
All classes including these require a $25 yearly registration fee and the cost of these classes range from about $50 to $100. Classes are held on different days of the week and are taught by different instructors.
Learning Solutions of Middle Georgia LLC is open on Monday through Thursday from 1-7 p.m., Friday from 1-8 p.m., and Saturday from 1-5 p.m.
