With the numerous tasks to complete to make yourself marketable and the seemingly endless amount of research needed to find an internship that matches your values, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Executive Director for Mercer’s Center for Career and Professional Development (CCPD) Kim Meredith refers to it as “analysis paralysis.”

Mercer's second annual "Gothic Festival" was held in Connell Student Center Oct. 26-29. Those curious about all things Gothic were able to participate in activities, discussions and displays of chilling visual arts and cosplay a mere few days before Halloween.

The Filipino Student Association held its first Palabok and Lumpia event Oct. 26 on Cruz Plaza to raise money for the club to fund future events on campus and for the potential to travel to state-wide FSA events.

On Nov. 17, the rock band, "Queen," had a rebirth in Macon. The group "One Night of Queen" performed at the Grand Opera House downtown with songs made famous by the internationally renowned British group.

At 6 p.m. on Nov. 17, Mercer’s Resident Hall Association, RHA, held their annual town hall meeting in Stetson Hall. The goal of the meeting was to bring awareness to issues that students may be experiencing in apartments and dorms on campus.

With only one big ticket on the runoff for most of Georgia, the election between Herschel Walker (R) and Raphael Warnock (D) will likely be just as harshly contested as it was in the November midterm. The Dec. 6 runoff will decide who will go to the Democrat-controlled Senate, but not before the “lame duck” session of congress concludes in December.
