The history of video game adaptations is a messy one. Time after time, franchises like “Resident Evil,” “Mortal Kombat” and “Super Mario Bros.” have all had film adaptations marred by budget constraints, lack of creative direction or a lack of authenticity to their source material. Plenty of people gave up hope that video game films or TV adaptations would ever be successful.
The 95th Academy Awards aired on Mar. 17 and honored a multitude of films and filmmakers. From tear-jerking moments and heartfelt speeches to shocking upsets, this year’s show was one to remember.
As many struggling college students can attest, it can be difficult to manage three important resources — time, money and transportation — which are hard to find and even harder to balance. Students constantly engage in opportunity cost analysis without realizing it. They are constructing ways to complete their work, manage their finances and effectively maneuver on and off campus.

Many students have begun their search for internships and career advice. From the high-octane "Mad Max" action series to more creative animated projects, like "Happy Feet," Miller knows how to craft vibrant pieces of cinema. Miller’s last film, "Mad Max: Fury Road," proved he had finally cemented his style with extravagant colors and astounding technical achievement.
"Saints Row" is a franchise that has dramatically shifted its identity over its 16-year existence. The original game existed to act as a competitor to Rockstar’s "Grand Theft Auto" series, while the second detoured into a more comedic direction. It wouldn’t be until the third and fourth games that the franchise truly carved its niche, becoming a unique experience that parodies American society and superheroes while establishing a bombastic world filled with unusual weapons and other tools.
