The Atlanta Hawks finished their season with a 43-39 record and will play as the ninth seed in the NBA postseason. Despite finishing outside of the top eight, they'll have their chance at the playoffs in the play-in tournament against the Charlotte Hornets.

Due to harsh weather conditions last week, the Bears’ game at Charleston Southern University against the Buccaneers, was postponed to a later date. This delay, however, didn’t prevent the Bears from playing against the Citadel Bulldogs at OrthoGeorgia Park last weekend.

The Bears were set to play Kennesaw State University for a midweek game on Wednesday, Apr. 6, but the game was canceled. Instead,
Mercer hosted Furman University Saturday, Apr. 9 and Sunday, Apr. 10, going 2-1 in the games.

This year, the 2022 Grammy Awards were interesting, with several notable wins and snubs for each category. The fashion choices of the night also stood out, as the stylists of some stars didn't fully fulfill the dress requirements for the event. Further, the ceremony seemed long and drawn out, with celebrities just walking the carpet or talking amongst themselves for a large part of the coverage.

Women's golf returned home on Monday to host The Brickyard Collegiate golf tournament and placed third overall out of 14 teams. Meanwhile, Men's golf placed 9th and 12th out of 15 colleges in the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational on April 2 and 3.

If you've been on social media recently, chances are you've seen content about Disney’s newest film, “Turning Red.” Directed by Domee Shi (the same director for the Disney short film “Bao”), the film is the first Disney feature to explore the coming-of-age genre. It features Mei Lee, a thirteen-year-old girl, as she navigates puberty and becomes her own self with the help of her three friends.

Mercer Masala partnered with the Office of Diversity and Inclusion and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion to host a Holi celebration on Black Field on Sunday. This is the first Holi event to be held on campus in two years, as it was canceled in 2020 and 2021.
