“People aren’t buying it because it is new, people are buying it because they want it,” Drash said.
A line of people gathered under the glimmering lights of the Grand Opera House in Macon on Oct. 17 to see Mercer students, Mercer alumni and members of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra perform in the Macon-Mercer Symphony Orchestra.
The court was composed of eight members who were voted on by the student body after their interviews with Mercer staff members.
The court's queen and king will be crowned at Saturday's Homecoming football game against Furman University during halftime.
QuadWorks continued its tradition of festivities leading up to Homecoming weekend that culminated in the annual lip sync competition Friday night in a Willingham Auditorium packed to the brim.
"I think there are a lot of issues right now that will affect our future, and I think it’s important to have a say in the decisions on those issues,” Haven Estabrook '26 said.
Voting takes place Wednesday on MyCourseEval via Canvas.
Every year Mercer students make a Pilgrimage to Penfield. However, there were a few changes made to the experience in order to acknowledge and more fully teach students about Mercer's complex history.
“This album feels like a family and how we made it was like a family,” said Moss.
Mercer University will host the Second Edition Gothic Festival this spooky season Oct. 26-29.

The Office of Campus Life is surveying students on the possibility of the binary titles being replaced with new, more inclusive terms, but student opinion is mixed.
“Everybody who knows her and goes to the caf loves her,” Figiel said.

With a new school year in full swing, Mercer’s Office of Global Education continues to offer students opportunities to travel and learn about other cultures.
Acts of strength of body and mind proved which team was most indebted to their respective deity, all followed by a skit from each team about a scene from a Great Book of their choosing.
