Football holds off East Texas A&M 23-15 in nervy victory

Mercer football held off East Texas A&M 23-15 on Saturday night in Five Star Stadium in a back and forth contest which saw a 23-0 Bears lead in the first half nearly fall apart. The Lions drove all the way into the red zone in the waning minutes of the quarter before an overthrown pass on fourth down ended the comeback attempt.

Men's soccer drops first game of the season to Florida Atlantic

The Mercer men's soccer team dropped its season opener 3-0 to Florida Atlantic University on Friday at Betts Stadium. The Bears gave up two goals early on defensive mishaps and never recovered against an Owls team that made an appearance in the NCAA tournament last year and who haven't lost a season opener since 2018.

Men's lacrosse gears up for ASUN play

Men's lacrosse enters Atlantic Sun Conference play with a 4-4 overall record this Saturday against Queens University in Charlotte, N.C. following a balanced non-conference schedule that included three early wins and four losses against higher-level competition.

Braced by transfers, men's hoops plays for semifinal berth Saturday

Mercer returned only four players from last year's men's basketball squad for this year's season, but finished with a 14-1 record at home and a No. 4 seed in the Southern Conference tournament. Today, the team is suiting up for a quarterfinal matchup against Western Carolina University and a chance at advancing to the semifinals for the first time since 2021.
