Retiring German professor reflects on 39 years at Mercer

“We really want to bridge the gap between Mercer students and the community because we believe it is so important to give back to the community,” Special Service Coordinator for MerServe Drew Boyett said.
“The structure will definitely make us a more competitive program when it comes to realistic training,” Mann said.
The event will conclude with a question and answer session. The event is free and open to the public.
Each year, Dr. Hensel and her student researchers have been developing drugs to test against different biofilms with many of these students producing enough research to present at BEAR Day and research conferences all over the nation.
The email states that "over 90%" of students, faculty and staff have been vaccinated, although it is unclear if that represents those who have received a full series of a COVID-19 vaccine.

The Founder’s Day program will take place in Willingham Auditorium at 10:20 a.m. on Wednesday.
BYX has begun the process of becoming official on Mercer's campus. Starting this semester, they begin their year-long provisionary period as a colony, during which they must meet certain criteria.
"Rural communities deserve the same quality of care and access to care as urban communities,” said Dr. Jean Sumner, dean of the School of Medicine.

Dark roast, medium roast and honey-processed coffee are now offered to students dining at the Fresh Food Company.

After his friend suggested he make his kidney search public, Patel made a post to Instagram with the help of his sister explaining his story. Since it was posted Monday, it has received over 1,600 likes and has been shared by many Mercer students.
The university will require masking and has changed its isolation period to five days, according to an email from president William Underwood.
"We encourage all students and employees to get a booster, and we want to make it very convenient for everyone to get a booster on campus," Reffitt said.
As of now, Mercer University does not require the vaccination to be on campus.
